A simply exquisite, original village house packed with rustic character, with a garden terrace and two additonal terraces, plus a very successful separate 1 bedroom studio let.
Casa Jorge is the perfect property for anyone looking for a totally original village house, packed with rustic character, in a beautiful mountain village, with stunning views. The house has the added advantage of having a separate self catering studio (bedroom and bathroom) with its own entrance, and an outside seating area, that has been extremely popular with tourists and walkers in the past, eager to discover the delights of this exquisite village, or ideal for putting up visiting friends and family.
Located in one of the prettiest and quietest areas of the village, surrounded by private and public gardens, and always accompanied by sweeping views over the incredible mountainous landscape that surrounds this mountain-top village (see drone video below), Casa Jorge is just a short walk from the village centre and also from several free car parks. A garden gate leads onto a front terrace, the perfect place to watch the world go by. The front terrace leads onto the garden terrace, a lovely space that is ideal for enjoying outside life, outside dining and entertaining. A couple of steps at the far end lead down to the second garden terrace area, packed with tropical plants, a quiet bench under the foliage, and a jacuzzi. There is nothing more special than sitting in a warm, bubbling jacuzzi under the stars, contemplating the twinkling lights of the village at night!
Main house
From the front terrace, a quality glass door leads into the living room (4.5 x 3m) with beams and beautiful, rustic, tiled floors. A couple of steps lead up to a small chillout space currently furnished with cushions! – and a fireplace set into the thick walls for cosy winter evenings. To the right is the rest of the living and dining room area, plus an opening which leads into the rustic style kitchen (3 x 2m), fully fitted and equipped.
A few steps to the left of the living room lead up to the bathroom (2 x 2m) with a walk-in shower. The stairs also continue up to the upper floor, and the main bedroom (5 x 3m including stairs) with sloping ceiling and original beams and doors leading out to the upper terrace (3 x 2.5m). This terrace has even better views, over the countryside and the edge of the village. At the far end of the main bedroom, a door leads into a second bedroom, which could also be used as a study or dressing room (3 x 2.5m). The wall between these two rooms is a partition wall and could be removed, to make one very large room, if preferred, or even a bathroom, given that the kitchen is immediately below on the ground floor.
Studio
Just below the main house, accessed via a terrace area that is a part of the pretty street, but incorporates a bench and table, a door leads into the studio. This consists of a beautiful bedroom (around 5 x 2.6m) with a kitchenette, plus dining area, and beyond, a lovely bathroom (around 2 x 2m) with walk-in shower. The studio has a ceiling fan and electric radiator. Beyond the bathroom is the lower garden terrace housing the jacuzzi, and by making a door here, it would be possible to give access to this area to guests.
The studio used to be offered to tourists and was very popular with visitors to the village and this mini business could be taken over by the new owners.
The property has mains water, electricity and drainage, plus fibre optics internet.
This simply gorgeous, rustic village house is a true piece of history, with many original features offering plenty of with original charm. Perfect for holidays and even as a permanent home for a single person or a couple.
