Situated in the middle of the countryside, along a country track that is part dirt track and part concrete, deep into the hilly countryside between El Borge and Comares, Casa Charata would make a perfect little country house with vineyards, to enjoy the peace of the countryside, maybe grow vegetables and keep vineyards or create a garden, or just to use for weekends or holidays. From the village, a part concrete and part dirt track, leads to this wonderful little hidden valley. The drive is around 10 to 15 minutes from the village. Alternatively, it is possible to drive from the road to Comares. The house is in the valley, with its own steep driveway (in need of improvement) leading to the house. There is another, attractive country house just a few metres away, but the owners of this house only visit very occasionally.
The original house consists of a living room (3 x 4.5m) with an original fireplace, plus a bedroom next door (3 x 3m). Additionally, on the other side of the fireplace wall is another room (2.5 x 2m) which could be converted into a second bedroom, creating an opening to access this second bedroom from the living room. There is a small patio area to the side of the original part of the house, and here we also have a door to the current kitchen (around 3.5 x 2m) and also to a large covered room (tin roof) of 5 x 4m. At the far end of this room is a door leading out to the rear of the house, with an outside pathway around the side of the house to the small current bathroom (2 x 1m).
The house needs some work and improvement but offers enough space to create a more logical internal distribution of rooms, creating a comfortable home with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom.
The house has mains electricity and has use of a plentiful supply of natural mountain water, which runs into a 5000L deposit, which supplies the house. There are extensive vineyards, so perfect for anyone wishing to try their hand at wine making! The land is very steep but could be terraced to make it more useable where required.
