Casa Las Chumberas, country house, Comares

4 bedrooms – 1 bathroom – extra 2 rooms in separate building – store room on two levels – 800m2 plot of land  – total build size 171m2

A rustic style, character country house in a little group of original houses around 7 minutes’ drive from Comares, for sale at a good price.

Casa Las Chumberas is located in a small hamlet of country houses not far from Comares.  This is as real and as rustic as it gets, in a totally Spanish community.

From the road (excellent access), a short drive provides private parking for one car, on land belonging to the property.  The house is immediately in front, with a patio area and wood oven to one side with a lovely front patio (around 5 x 3.5m).  The front door leads into a rustic style kitchen (3 x 2.7m plus staircase).  To the right is a door to a large bathroom (3 x 2.5m) with a pretty window through the very thick walls.  To the left of the kitchen a doorway through thick walls leads into a beautiful living room (5.5 x 3m) with a sloping ceiling, beams, double wooden doors to a patio, alcoves and a rustic, traditional style fireplace.  Two doors lead from the living room into two bedrooms (3 x 3m and 5 x 3m).  The larger room has a staircase leading to a room of the same size above it.

Back in the kitchen, a second staircase leads to a fourth bedroom (5 x 3m including stairs).

Outside, a second patio leads to the ‘casita’, which adjoins another building belonging to a neighbour (the neighbour has right of access to this building across this particular patio area).  The casita consists of two large rooms, in good condition, with sloping ceilings, pretty windows, alcoves and a rustic style fireplace.  This would make a perfect independent annexe, for friends or perhaps a dependent relative.

Around the house and to the rear is the plot of land, which at the moment is left to nature.  It has a number of fruit trees and a beautiful, ancient carob tree creating natural shade.

This is the perfect holiday home for anyone wishing to experience ‘real Spain’ in the heart of the unspoilt countryside of Andalusia.
