<p>This lovely village house is in a quiet street of the pretty village of  Benamargosa.  It is structurally sound, but needs renovation and  modernisation<span id="more-9663"></span><br />
The house has a large living room and separate  kitchen, with door leading to the courtyard garden.  There is one large  bedroom downstairs and a bathroom accessed via the garden at the moment,  but that could be incorporated into the house.</p>
<p>Upstairs are two  large bedrooms, typically with one leading into the other, but it is  possible to resposition the doors to give privacy to each, and possibly  to add a bathroom.</p>
<p>A lovely project, that could be finished inexpensively, to make a very comfortable home.</p>
<p>The  village (or small town) of Benamargosa is only 10 minutes from the  historic town of Velez-Malaga, 15 mins from the coast and 40 mins from  Malaga.</p>

<p>A very pretty country house with excellent access, just 5 minutes from the coast,  very close to the village of Almayate, with some excellent flat land.  It needs only a small amount of attention (mainly a little painting, as the house has been standing empty for a number of years).<span id="more-9618"></span></p>
<p>Located on a very quiet country lane, this particularly lovely house has a surprising amount of space and would make a perfect retirement or family home.  It is adjoined on one side only to a very small cottage which is uninhabited, but this in no way affects the privacy of the property.  2 or 3 steps lead up to a huge terrace (9 x 3.5m) with good sea views.  From here there are two front doors.  The main door leads into a spacious and very light living room (7 x 3.5m), and next to this is a second reception room (4 x 3m) with its own front door, with open corner fireplace.  This second room would make an excellent Winter living room, reading room or an office (the separate front door makes this particularly attractive as an office).</p>
<p>To the rear of the main living room, a door leads into the very large kitchen dining room (5 x 3.25m) which could be a real &#8216;live-in&#8217; kitchen.  From here, a door leads to the downstairs shower room which also has plumbing for a washing machine, and this room is large enough to serve both as downstairs bathroom and utility room (3 x 2m).  Next to this is an open staircase with glass brick feature and round window above, to bring in extra light.  The marble stairs lead up to the first floor and a distribution area.  Upstairs are three very light double rooms, each with quality built-in wardrobes.  These rooms are approximately 10m2 each excluding the wardrobes and the main bedroom has one whole side of the room with floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall wardrobes.  The upstairs bathroom is 4 x 1.5m and has a bath.  There are lovely views from all rooms; two of the bedrooms look South to the sea and share a balcony and sliding glass doors to the balcony, and the third bedroom has views of the mountains to the North East.</p>
<p>Outside, the land consists of a very large off-road parking area, both to the side of the house and behind it.  A track leads up to the upper flat area, which is marked by the walls of the neighbouring house.  This land has outstanding sea views and is &#8216;crying out&#8217; to be made beautiful &#8211; ideal for planting a lovely fruit tree orchard, and a pool amongst those trees would look very nice indeed!  There is further land at the lower (house) level, where there are two outbuildings in need of renovation, which would make useful storerooms.  Further down, is another completely flat area, along the edge of a stream, and this land is very fertile, and hence could be made into a very large and productive vegetable plot.</p>
<p>There are plenty of country lanes and tracks in this area, making walking an excellent choice of exercise!</p>
<p>This house would be perfect and ideal for anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful retirement house, where there are opportunities to work on the land, mingle with the local community, and yet be just a short drive from the social life to be discovered on the coast!</p>

<p>A very pretty and rustic style cortijo set in pretty gardens in a very natural setting, above the coastal village of Benajarafe</p>
<p><span id="more-9464"></span>This lovely old cortijo has been restored in rustic style and is around 135m2 in total, set in a plot of 1400m2 of mainly flat gardens.</p>
<p>The property is reached by driving around 500m along a dry river bed, past other country houses and even a little bakery!  The river bed is passable almost always, but for the odd days that it is not, an alternative access exists of just a few metres, across the neighbour&#8217;s land.</p>
<p>The property is fully fenced and gated with a parking area both outside and within the fenced area.  Some lovely gardens with mature trees and a well established pond, create a very natural feel to this pretty location.  A large covered terrace, with creeping bourganvillea flowers creates a lovely shady area for outdoor dining, and around the corner is a second covered terrace, with entrance to the house.  There is also a decking area here, which is actually a cover for a pool below it.  The pool, which has all the equipment for functioning, is 5 x 3m but requires some renovation to bring it back to its former glory.</p>
<p>The property has mains electricity and a private well with a plentiful supply of water that is fully filtered and drinkable.</p>
<p>The front door leads into a small hallway with the Andalusian rustic style kitchen (15m2) to the left, and straight ahead into a very spacious living room (41m2) with woodburner and rustic features, and a dining area to the right.  A door leads into the main bedroom (14m2) which is a very good size, plus dressing area.  A head-height wall separates the bedroom from the ensuite bathroom, again a generous size.</p>
<p>From the dining area, a short passage leads to the family bathroom, and two further bedrooms (9m2 and 13m2).</p>
<p>Outside, an adjoining room (10m2) acts as an office at the moment, but could be integrated into the main house if required.  There is a store shed opposite this.  Behind the shed, steps lead to a small area at a higher level and from here it is possible to see the sea.</p>

<p>A very unusual and beautiful house in the heart of the wild countryside near Alfarnatejo, but with no dirt track and excellent access, surrounded by a forest of trees, and with access to, and use of stables for two horses</p>
<p><span id="more-9520"></span>This beautiful house is hidden away in the countryside amongst many indigenous species of trees and a multitude of birds!  Located along a very short concrete track of only around 200m, with neighbours nearby but not at all visible, the house is reached via a private drive with pretty stone walls and landscaped gardens.  A front walled courtyard leads to the front door.</p>
<p>Inside, a hallway leads into the large living room (39m2) with huge windows and glass patio doors leading onto a pretty outdoor dining terrace which overlooks the beautiful gardens, the wild, forested countryside of which the plot is part, and the glistening Mediterranean sea in the distance.</p>
<p>Next to the living room, with an open arched bar area, is the fully fitted kitchen (around 10m2) with wood panelled cupboad doors.  A short passage leads to the family bathroom (7m2) and beyond that the main bedroom (16.5m2).</p>
<p>To the opposite side of the living room are a couple of steps up to the second bedroom, used by the current owners as a reading room or second living room, as they have no need for a second bedroom.  To this end of the living room is also a door leading down steps to an integrated garage.  This could very easily and inexpensively be converted into a third bedroom with ensuite bathroom if required.  It is also possible to add another bedroom beyond the main bedroom.</p>
<p>To the rear of the house, at a lower level, is access to two further rooms, each a very good size (the largest is 5 x 4m).  From here, the beautifully tended gardens include a pretty lower patio with stone walls surrounded by trees and a very original barbeque &#8216;island&#8217;, (a cook&#8217;s outdoor paradise!) and a little path leading down to the lower area.  In the lower area is the pool (6 x 4m) and two barbeque areas, one covered, with a little &#8216;house&#8217; in natural stone.  A path leads further along the gardens.</p>
<p>The rest of the land is as nature intended it, with many trees and plenty of wildlife, stretching both above and below the property.  I would not be difficult to create a path leading through all of the land.  The neighbour has stables, and this property has the right of use of two of these stables (for two horses).</p>

<p><span id="more-9252"></span>Located on the edge of the village, this house simply needs a little care and attention to make it a comfortable and pretty home.  Entrance from the street leads into a small hallway with two rooms on either side which could be converted into extra bedrooms, or used for storage or even potentially for a business (hairdressers, office etc).  The total downstairs area is 23m2.  There are stairs from this hallway that lead to the main house upstairs.</p>
<p>At the top of the stairs is the main living room (in an L shape consisting of 4x4m and 3x2m).  To the right, along a short corridor, are the two bedrooms (3x3m and 3.5&#215;2.5m) and bathroom (1.5&#215;1.5m).  To the left, the living room leads into the kitchen (5 x 3m) which has the necessary basics, but could benefit from some improvement.  This floor is 85m2.  From the far end of the kitchen, stairs lead to the top floor.</p>

<p>The main house is located along a short private drive off a quiet country lane with ample car parking space.  Consisting of two floors, the current owners live in the upstairs area, with the whole of the lower floor (120m2)  ready to be finished off to the requirements of the future owners:</p>
<p>Downstairs:</p>
<p>a spacious entrance hall has four doors, each leading into three HUGE rooms and a room destined to be made into a bathroom, plus stairs up  to the upper level.  Each of the huge rooms is large enough to be partitioned into at least two spaces, making it easy to manipulate the space on the ground floor.</p>
<p>It could be a separate house (maybe you are two families looking to buy together) and/or could be made into apartments with individual entrances (perhaps you are thinking of a rural tourism business).  Total size downstairs is 102m2 of useable interior space, according to the paperwork, although it is actually closer to 120m2, as is the upstairs.</p>
<p>Upstairs:</p>
<p>the stairs lead up to a large landing (7 x 2m).  From here, a door to the right leads into the living room (5 x 4m) with fireplace and sliding patio doors leading onto a terrace with wonderful views of the mountains.  Opposite, the master bedroom, which is a spacious 4 x 3.5m, (plus a huge wall to wall, floor to ceiling wardrobe), again with sliding patio doors leading onto a second terrace.</p>
<p>At the other end of the hallway, to the left, a very large kitchen (6 x 4.2m), a bathroom (3 x 2m) and three further bedrooms (3 x 3.2, 4 x 3m and 5 x 3m.  It would be easy to convert one of these four bedrooms into a second bathroom.</p>
<p>The house is designed in such a a way that there is an amazing view from each room.  The living room is on the Southern side of the house, the kitchen on the Northern side for maximum natural comfort.  The house is warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer, and has lovely real wood doors throughout the inside of the upstairs part of the house.</p>
<p>Part of the roof is flat, as it was destined to be a roof terrace with spectacular 360 degree views, but the steps up to the terrace were never built.  These could be added, or a new tiled roof could be added to this section if preferred.</p>
<p>There is ample space for gardens all around the house and space for a pool.</p>
<p>A little below the house level is a lower level of land, creating a semi circle around the house below.  Here, a good flat area is ideal for growing a fruit orchard and further beautiful gardens.  It is on this level that at present there are many large outbuildings.  Some are going to be taken down and cleared away by the current owners when they move out (where they currently keep sheep and goats) but there will still be at least two large outbuildings which can either be converted into apartments, studios, workshops or stables, or can be removed.  One of the buildings, of around 15 x 6m, was where the current owners lived originally, whilst they were building the house. Basically, keep as much or as little of these buildings as you wish!  This area has its own entrance driveway.</p>
<p>There is a also a very old cottage, consisting of a small living room, bathroom and one bedroom, which could also be renovated.  This area has its own  garden area and it too has its own driveway.</p>
<p>This property has great potential.  The price has been set for a fast sale, as the current owners have to move away to look after a relative elsewhere and there may be room for price negotiation.</p>
<p>Other information: there are three country bars nearby: two are within approximately 2.5 to 3Kms from the property, the other 5Kms away.  The local villages have many bars, restaurants, shops and all other facilities such as medical and sports centres and schools.  It is a spectacularly beautiful and natural area, with many, many country walks along the many country lanes &#8211; also ideal for horse riding and cycling.  There are other country houses scattered around, but nothing directly overlooking this property.</p>

<p>One can get tired and bored of standard &#8216;villas&#8217; in the countryside for sale, often with bad tracks and far from the larger towns and the coast.  But this  property is quite different and I invite you to consider it seriously.  This is the sort of property that many people with country houses up in the mountains say to me &#8220;if only we had bought something like this, it is so convenient to everything!&#8221;  So take a look!!</p>
<p>Located in a hamlet on the old Velez-Malaga to Viñuela road, this mid terraced cottage has much to offer.  To the front, a gated terrace with pretty front facade.  The front door leads into the living room, a stunning room of 5.5 x 2.8m with ultra-efficient &#8216;pellet stove&#8217; heater for the Winter to warm the whole of the main section of the house.  The current owners have combined the wonderful old features of this old house, such as beams and wooden shuttered windows with modern elegance and the result is stylish, charming and homely.  An archway with half-meter-thick walls leads into the kitchen/dining room (5 x 4m).  Here is a modern and very attractive fully fitted kitchen, and dining area with plenty of space for table and chairs.  A door to the right leads into the master bedroom (4.7 x 2.7m) with shuttered window and also a skylight window in the ceiling to watch the stars at night, and a generous en-suite shower room (3.2 x 2m) with wall-to-wall walk-in shower area.  This is a luxurious bathroom, one that you could sit in with a book, under the little window, quite happily, after taking a relaxing shower!</p>

<p>A lovely country house on one level with wonderful views and a private driveway with palm trees, in the countryside near the picturesque village of Almachar.<span id="more-8948"></span></p>
<p>This pretty house is spacious, simple and beautiful.  Set on a plot of 4,300m2 of land, (partly steep slope) with a large flat garden area to the front and either side of the house, the property faces South, with views straight out towards the coast in the distance (25 mins drive to Torre del Mar or to the outskirts of Malaga).</p>
<p>The large wooden front door leads straight into a large living room (9 x 4m) with an attractive brick built open fireplace at one end.  At the other end, doors lead into a large fitted kitchen (4 x 3m) with wooden door leading to the outside.</p>
<p>From the living room, a wide archway leads to the bedroom area.  There are three double bedrooms, (3 x 3.5m, 4 x 3m and 4 x 3m) and one very large bathroom (2.5 x 2.5m).</p>
<p>The house has a plentiful supply of private well water and mains electricity.</p>

<p>The house is located in a very small country village between Alhama de Granada and Moraleda de Zafayona on the corner of two quiet streets.  It consists of two houses and various outbuildings, with a patio in the middle and garden beyond, forming a U shape around the inner patio, with the large rectangular garden beyond completing the square.  The total plot size is 493m2 of which 227m2 is buildings.</p>
<p>From the quiet street, next to glorious open countryside, is the front door to the main house, leading into a large living room (5 x 3.5m) with large open fireplace at one end and a store room to one side.  From this room is access to three bedrooms (all around 3 x 4m) and a small bathroom.  One of these rooms could easily be converted into a kitchen, as there is plenty of space for renovation.</p>

<p>A pretty little cottage set in its own plot with no dirt track, some 10 minutes&#8217; drive from Alhama de Granada and around 5 minutes from a nearby village.  The house has a gated entrance and driveway and a covered terrace area.<span id="more-8831"></span></p>
<p>Inside, the front door leads into one main room (6 x 5m) with large open fireplace, kitchen area and living area.  To one side is the door to the bathroom, and door to the bedroom (4 x 3m).</p>
<p>This house was built 6 years ago, as an agricultural house (casa de apero) but according to local law can now be converted into a &#8220;casa cortijo&#8221; or country residential house.  It needs a septic tank installing and an architect&#8217;s certificate, all of which will be done by the current owners prior to the agreed date of sale.</p>
<p>The price also includes finishing off the inside of the house, which needs rendering and tiling (but bathroom is complete).</p>
<p>The land is fully irrigated, with young cherry trees.  There is open countryside all around and some lovely mountain views.</p>

<p>A country house needing  a little light renovation with a reasonable plot of land all around it and good views of the vegetable-growing plains of Zafarraya.<span id="more-8784"></span></p>
<p>This country house, (approx. 100m2) is situated on a plot of around 6000m2 on a gentle slope above the plains of Zafarraya, just 5 minutes from Zafarraya village and some 20 minutes from Alhama de Granada.</p>
<p>The house needs some light renovation  but the fundamentals, such as roof, walls, flooring, electrics and plumbing are all in good order.  More than anything, the house needs &#8216;beautifying&#8217; to make it into a home!</p>
<p>The land is on a very gentle incline, and is currently a mixture of grass and rocks.  It also has a good number of alcornoques, or local oak trees, one of the few remaining indigenous species of Andalusia and protected by law.  The potential for lovely gardens and/or a good vegetable plot and fruit orchard is excellent.</p>
<p>There are also a number of outbuildings, such as chicken coops and a pig shed.</p>
<p>The house has a front terrace area with front door leading into the living room.  To one side a separate kitchen in need of updating, and off the living room are three bedrooms, two of which run from one room into the next, plus a family bathroom.</p>
<p>Outside, and adjoining the house, is another kitchen.  This could be incorporated into the main house easily.</p>
<p>Behind the house, on the next plot, are further agricultural buildings belonging to the neighbours, but a high wall completely hides the building and a line of pretty cyprus trees along one side of the plot would completely hide the entrance to the property behind.</p>
<p>This property is extremely good value, has electricity and water, and would be ideal for someone looking for a truly rural location and community.</p>
