In terms of ‘the real thing’ this delightful, happy house is about as authentic as one can get!  Forming part of the friendly community of Los Ventorros, a picturesque hamlet close to Comares, in the mountains, it is directly on one of the original ancient trading routes leading down from the mountain passes into Malaga and the port, hence steeped in history.

Location
The hamlet of Los Ventorros is within a 3 or 4 minute drive of the beautiful village of Comares, 50 minutes to Malaga and 50 minutes to the coast at Torre del Mar.  This is a place where one can change one’s lifestyle and join in the happy, friendly and enterprising, multi-national community in the hamlet.  Here, apart from breathtaking views of the mountains and a glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea, there are two bar/restaurants and a small shop, and plenty of opportunity to join in the community spirit.  As such, this property has plenty of potential as a small shop, a place of rest and relaxation for tourists, staying in the annexe, for giving classes, organising tourist walking trails, and any other such activity.  It is also ideal as a house to simply enjoy the Andalusian mountain countryside, and not be too far from a friendly face.

Property Description
From the road, there is off-street parking for several cars, and a garden gate leads into the front patio garden and covered terrace.  A side gate leads up steps to the right hand side of the property, to a door at the rear, where guests can access the annexe without walking through the main house, hence having their independence.
From the front terrace, original double doors lead into the impressive living room (3 x 11m) with flat ceiling with wooden beams and windows to the front.  To the right is a door to the kitchen (3 x 3.5m) with a utility room to the rear (2.5 x 3m).  The kitchen also has a door leading outside.

From the living room, a couple of steps lead up to a storage area (2 x 2m), with a door to the right leading into the downstairs bathroom (3 x 2m).  Next to this area are the stairs that lead up to a landing.

Turning left at the top of the stairs we have access to a large bedroom (4 x 3m) with a window facing the back garden, and two further very large bedrooms (6 x 4m and 4 x 3m) facing the front of the property.  It would be possible to alter the layout slightly of this area to allow access from the landing the the third bedroom (currently accessed via the largest bedroom) and to create a bathroom.

Turning right at the top of the stairs leads along a short corridor, along the rear of the building, with double doors leading out to the rear.  The exit here is particularly interesting, as one steps out onto a wooden ‘bridge’ or platform, over a natural spring overflow, where, in the Winter, the water flows out from the rocks and through an underground pipe under the rocks below the house.  This is a beautiful sight in the Winter months and most unusual (no damp reaches the house at all from this natural water feature).  Along the corridor we have the upstairs bathroom (3 x 2m) and a door into the annexe, which consists at present of a large bedroom (6 x 4m) and a small kitchenette (2 x 1m) and a window to the front.

To the rear of the house, accessed from the wooden bridge down the steps, is the rear garden, with a covered seating area and flowering shrubs and plants.  This area can be further improved and has the potential to become a simply glorious, private back garden, full of flowering Mediterranean plants.  A path leads up the hill behind the house, the land ending at a higher track, and here there is a useful fenced dog run and dog house.

The views from this property are beautiful, over the village, the mountains and down to the sea.  And best of all, for those who want to be in a glorious mountain setting, but not isolated, one can just stroll across to the bar!
