Description

Two large country houses on a plot of 6098m2 – divided into 4 separate living units – total of 425m2 – pool – garage and store rooms (total 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms)

An interesting complex consisting of several buildings, with 2 units registered as rural tourism holiday homes and plenty of business potential, in stunning countryside with distant sea views

Cortijo Aldeamuela is located in a small country hamlet, with no dirt track, within a 5 minute drive of Periana village.  It has great potential as a permanent home with an attached business, or simply a place with plenty of space!

The upper house
With its own driveway leading up to a large car park, this lovely single storey house sits in an elevated position, above the hamlet and with beautiful views down the valley towards the distant glint of the Mediterranean, 35 minutes’ drive South. There is also a partial view over Lake Viñuela.  With a large courtyard garden to the rear, with a built-in barbecue and outside kitchen area and steps up to a 7 x 4.5m pool with 8 x 2.5m store area below, this lovely house is divided into two mirror image units, each with its own front door and access to a South facing terrace.

Each unit consists of an entrance hall, with shower room to one side (2 x 1.25m), front bedroom (3 x 2.2m), large second bedroom (4.3 x 2.2m), and opening out into an open plan living room/kitchen/diner (6.25 x 3.5m) with access to the front terrace, and air conditioning.  The terrace is 11 x 2m, with a separator in the middle.

Beyond the courtyard, barbecue and pool area, is a beautiful garden planted with flowering plants, and beyond this, down a shallow bank, is a large, totally flat olive grove, fenced on two sides (around 3700m2) with lovely mountain views.

Underneath the house is a large area with pillars with potential for development.

The lower house
Just off the country lane running through the hamlet is where the lower (older) house is located.  This original house is on two floors, each with its own separate access, but joined by stairs inside the house.  The house could be improved and modernised, either as one single house, or as two units.

The ground floor, accessed via a 13m long front terrace with pergola covered in grapevines, consists of a large living room with air conditioning, separate kitchen/dining room with a utility room beyond leading out to the side of the house, plus three double bedrooms and a bathroom.

Stairs from inside, by the bathroom, lead upstairs, and the current layout consists of a living room, with double bedroom off it at the far end, a kitchen, with double doors out to a 6 x 2m terrace with beautiful South-facing views, including of the sea, and a large bathroom.  There is a door from just by the bathroom leading outside to steps, that lead down to the garden below.

Next to the lower house is a large garage (6 x 5m) with an original outside kitchen/store room adjoining it (3 x 2.7m) with original woodfire in one corner.  Beyond is a wood store.

The gardens around the lower house include a main gate with parking area, chicken run with outbuildings, two large water deposits and a completely flat vegetable garden.  A path and steps lead through the garden to the upper house.
