Old cortijo of 154m2 to restore – 7465m2 plot – sea and country views – just a few minutes from Triana, and 20 minutes to the coast at Torre del Mar

A fascinating old cortijo located in beautiful countryside above the village of Triana with sea views on a good sized plot and easy access.  Ideal restoration project to make a family home and/or small b&b.

Cortijo La Parrilla is located about 5 or 6 minutes’ drive from the village of Triana, in beautiful, peaceful countryside, in a very private location, surrounded by nature and the local mango orchards.

The village has a supermarket, chemist, school, swimming pool and sports facilities, plus doctors’ surgery.  The main area town, historic Velez-Malaga is within 10 minutes of Triana and the coast just 5 minutes beyond.

The Plot
The land consists of around 7465m2, planted with olive trees and natural vegetation.  A large section is on flat ground, around the house, and the rest slopes up the hill, but much of it is good, useable and fertile land.  The views from the plot are very beautiful, with a clear line of sight down to the coast and the Mediterranean sea.

The Cortijo
This ancient, original, stone-built house is full of possibilities for restoration.  At the moment it is in four sections:

Section 1:
from a rather lovely cobbled front terrace, a door leads into a very large living room with high, sloping ceilings with beams and cane infill.  From this room, on one side is access to a further room, and on the other to two further large rooms plus a large bathroom.

Section 2:
adjoining Section 1 is a large room with a collapsed roof.

Section 3:
continuing on is another door leading into a room with a fireplace, and another room to the rear of this room.

accessed around the back of the house, on the North side, some steps lead up to a very lovely terrace and from here a door leads into a large room (is over Section 1).

Altogether, the building is around 154m2 (possibly larger).

There is also a car port and animal outbulding on the land, and a rear driveway and carpark, plus separate outside WC.

This interesting old house could potentially be restored in two or more sections, offering interesting potential as a family  home or a small house with separate guest accommodation.
