A magnificent, modern, quality country house in a beautiful area within a short distance of the village of Alcaucin, and stunning views of the countryside, Lake Viñuela, the village and the Sierra.

The villa is located to the North of the picturesque mountain village of Alcaucin, on the slopes above the village.  This is one of the best spots to contemplate the complex maze of whitewashed houses of the village in the valley below, with the stunning backdrops of the countryside and Lake Viñuela beyond, and the dramatic mountain range to the North.

The village is around 1Km from the house, and has various facilities including several bar/restaurants, bank, school, sports facilities and more. The coast is within an easy 25 minutes from here and Malaga within one hour.

The plot
Consisting of around 1500m2 of easy to maintain ground, most of the plot is terraced, with areas of garden planted with mature flowering plants and fruit and olive trees, including an ancient olive tree providing a peaceful, shady place to sit and contemplate the view. To the South is a steep bank down with strong, reinforced concrete walls.

Within the paved terraced area, level with the ground floor of the house, is the pool (8 x 3m) with Roman style semi-circular steps leading down into the water.  And everywhere here the wonderful views are always refreshing!

The house
The house is on two levels.  From the driveway and parking area, the front door leads into an open plan hallway (4.25 x 3m) with the WC/cloakroom (1.75 x 1m) and laundry/store (1.5 x 2.5m) to the  left plus the stairwell leading upstairs; the living room is ahead, through quality wooden double doors with glass panes, and the kitchen is to the right.

The kitchen (4 x 3.25m) is modern and fully fitted, with three South facing windows over the views and the gardens, bringing in plenty of natural daylight.

The living room is bright and spacious (6.5 x 5m) with double glass doors leading into the Winter terrace or conservatory area (6.5 x 2.5m) with wonderful views.  This room is warm and cosy in the Winter, with the low Winter sunlight heading the room and the entire ground floor level of the house.  For the Summer, the ‘glass curtain’ walls open out to create an open-air, covered terrace.

Taking the stairs in an open stairwell from the hall, we reach a short passage, leading to 2 guest bedrooms (4 x 3.25m and 4 x 2.75m, both with built in wardrobes and one with double doors out to a corridor balcony terrace), a family bathroom (1.75 x 1.5m, including large shower cubicle), and the master bedroom (bedroom 3, 4.75 x 3.2m) with ensuite bathroom (3.2 x 2m) and double doors out to a terrace overlooking the views and gardens.

The house has gas fired under floor central heating with individual thermostac controls in each room, although this is hardly ever used as the house is warm, well built and well insulated.

There is a community of neighbouring houses, all equally beautiful, in the same area.
