These two properties are located in a tiny country hamlet, accessed via  a dirt track, from Los Ventorros (10 minutes), and 15 minutes from Comares village.  The hamlet is on the outskirts of the Montes de Malaga and is a perfect location for ‘getting away from it all’, for walking, mountain biking, bird watching, and more, as the countryside is natural and unspoilt.  There are around 15 houses in the hamlet, scattered around the area.

The Houses
The two houses, located in the centre of the hamlet, face each other, with a wide courtyard patio between them.  The neighbouring houses have access across the patio, and so it is a friendly communal area, although currently shown as belonging to these properties (half each approximately).

The main house is from 1935 and is 146m2 on two floors (73m2 on each floor).  It is a traditional, white-washed, stone built house.  It is attached to one side and also to the rear, and so being a part of the community is essential.  Having said that, at the time of writing this, no one lives in the neighbouring houses, which are attractive, as the owners come and go, or visit at weekends or holidays.

The front door, from the courtyard patio, leads into a traditional style kitchen/dining room with a traditional fireplace to the right.  To the left, an arch leads into the living room, with window to the front (patio) and from here a door to the right leads into the downstairs bedroom.

Back in the kitchen/dining area, a door to the rear leads into an ante-room which could be a reading room, office or dining room.  From here, stairs lead up to two very large bedrooms.  These bedrooms could easily incorporate one bathroom each.  The roof is in good condition and renovation is mainly about modernisation (without losing any of the original character) rather than restoration.  There is no current bathroom in the house but the upstairs rooms could both have bathrooms added.

The house has some lovely original floors and beams, filling it with traditional Andalusian character.

The second house, located on the other side of the patio and facing the main house, is a stone built cottage, in need of complete renovation.  Up until recently it has been used for storage and was originally for housing animals and hay, and  is divided into several very basic rooms.  The building dates from the seventies and is around 90m2, set in a garden plot (to the side and rear) of around 110 to 150m2.  The garden is more or less flat and could be made very beautiful.  The house has the potential to be a good sized 2 bedroom unit.

The main house is connected to the electricity.  Water would be via water storage tanks, as are all the houses in this hamlet.

These two houses would be ideal for anyone looking for a project, and wishing to either live there permanently, and let one of the houses, or two use as family holiday homes.
