Location
This property is tucked away off a quiet track in the area known as Solano.  There is a 1.2Km dirt track to reach it, and so for regular use, a 4 x 4 car is preferable, although nearby house owners also use standard cars.  The views are beautiful, due South.  The nearest town is Colmenar (20 mins) and also nearby are Comares (25 mins) and Riogordo (20/25 minutes).

Main House
A driveway leads up to a parking area, and there is also a second driveway which could be used by the occupants of the ‘casita’ or guest cottage, should this be used for separate living by tenants, holiday makers, or friends and family.  From here a path leads along the edge of the garden and the house, through to the spacious pool terrace at the far end.

The main house is located between the car parking area and the guest casita and pool area.  There is a lovely covered terrace (6.5 x 3m) which has arches and glassed windows at either end.  This area is the outside living and dining room, as so much of life here is spent outdoors.  

The front door leads into the main dining room with a modern, open plan kitchen at the far end.  This very attractive room is 6.5 x 3m, with sloping ceiling and beams, combining modern and rustic perfectly.  To the right of this space is a door leading into a comfortable and cosy living room, lovely in the Winter, with a woodburner at the far end.  This room is 3.75 x 3m, and a door at the far end leads to a small office (2 x 2m).

At the car park end of the house is a large garage that can accommodate a large car and plenty of storage space.   Currently used as a store room and workshop.

Guest House
Further along the path, we reach the pool terrace with an 8 x 4m pool and delightful views.  Facing this terrace is the guest cottage, with a covered terrace area of 4.5 x 3m.  From here, the front door leads into a kitchen/dining room (fully fitted, 3.5 x 2.75m) with a staircase at the rear.  To the far left, a lobby area leads to a bathroom (2.5 x 1.5m) and next to it the living room (4.5 x 3m), with sofabed, which can be used as a third bedroom if required.

Upstairs are two bedrooms (4.5 x 3m and 3.5 x 2.75m) and a second bathroom (2.5 x 1.5m) with lovely views from the windows.  Like the main house, the guest house has beams, rustic style floors and traditional wooden windows with shutters.

The main house is heated with gas central heating using radiators and the wood burner.  The guest house is heated with electric wall panels and a gas heater.

The Plot
The plot is long and thin in shape (of the useable land) with a garden on house and pool level and a smaller garden along the banks between the house and the track.  The second driveway and parking area at the far end of the plot has steps up to the pool terrace and a space to grow vegetables or trees.

This very beautiful house is ideal for anyone wishing to live in the Andalusian countryside and let the guest cottage for a little extra income, or to let the entire property.  Equally, it is a great size for large families or for receiving visitors.
