Location
Canillas de Aceituno is one of the prettiest, friendliest villages in this area, and it has the advantage not only of stunning views (sea, lake and countryside, and a view over Africa on a clear day), and easy access (only 10/15 minutes from the main A356 road), but also of having a good selection of small shops of all types, and plenty of excellent bars and restaurants, plus a swimming pool, school and sports facilities.

Canillas is well known as a base for walkers and mountain trekers climbing the famous Maroma mountain (over 2000m high at its summit), starting from the village.  It is 20 minutes from Velez-Malaga town and 25 minutes from the coast at Torre del Mar.

The house
Casa Curva is located on a very pretty street just off the main street in the village, nicely tucked away.

The front door leads directly into a fully fitted kitchen/dining room, also fully equipped.  It is modern and bright.  From here is a wide spiral stairway, which leads all the way up to the top of the house.  On the first floor is a small living room with a sofabed, used as a living room by day and a bedroom by night.  It has glass doors leading to a small balcony overlooking the street.  Opposite, is the bathroom with corner shower.

The second floor has the second bedroom, with the WC on the opposite side of the landing, directly over the bathroom below.  This room could be turned into a dressing room with WC.

The third floor has an upstairs kitchenette area, and then a door leads out onto the roof terrace.  This area of around 3.5 x 2m has an awning to protect from the hot sun in the Summer.  The views are of the village, and countryside, with a glimpse of the sea.
