Casa Capilla (Chapel House) is located within a small, peaceful hamlet with easy access into a large walled garden.  The hamlet has no shops or facilities, but the village of Zafarraya is within a 10 minute drive, and Alcaucin and Puente Don Manuel within around 15 minutes, and the coast is within 30 minutes, at Torre del Mar.

Once through the garden gate in the wall, (which also has a very rustic and attractive belltower), there are two sections of garden to explore; the walled courtyard area, with a beautiful 8 x 4m  pool as the central feature and decorative palm trees and foliage all around, and the side garden, on the other side of the house, where a laundry/storeroom is located, along with a water deposit, and this garden area would be ideal for planting vegetables or fruit trees.

The front door, accessed from a spacious covered terrace, leads into a magnificent open plan living/dining room space to left and right, (45m2), with high ceilings and traditional Andalusian wooden shuttered windows.  Double doors beyond lead to a short corridor, from where bedroom 1 is accessed (11m29, and next door is downstairs bathroom, with large walk-in shower and rustic tiles (4.25m2). Beyond, is bedroom 2 (12m2) – (both bedrooms shown with twin single beds in the photos). The corridor continues round to a modern kitchen (12m2) with a glass back door out to the pool patio and an opening leading back into the living room/dining room area.

Stairs leading off the corridor take us to the upstairs level, where there are two further bedrooms (at the moment one leads off the other, but that could be easily changed) and an ensuite bathroom in bedroom 4, (13m2,) with large walk-in shower.

From bedroom 3 (which could also be used as an upstairs sitting room, reading room or office), glass doors lead out to an upper terrace, which overlooks the pool courtyard patio below.  From here there are lovely views over the countryside and mountains, incuding a glimpse of Lake Viñuela.

To the front of the house is a cane covered area, offering more shaded outdoor areas, out of the hot sunshine.
