AX933 – Casa Rualca, Canillas de Aceituno

1 / 2 bedrooms – 1 bathrooms – Unique town house in Canillas – Amazing views – Quiet area – Near the center – Sun terrace – Under-floor heating

Amazing little townhouse with 4 floors, a room on each. Each room has a better and more extense mountain and sea view than the last, with a roof terrace overlooking the whole of the Axarquía at the top.

The layout

The main door leads into a very pretty, old style kitchen, decorated with coloured tiles, with two windows, allowing in plenty of light and a good breeze in the Summer.

From the kitchen, stairs lead up to a small landing with a shower room with double ‘his and hers’ ceramic basins. The shower room has heated walls for the colder months, a most unusual luxury!  The landing also leads into the main bedroom with three windows and a w/c under the stairs that lead up to the next floor.

Up the stairs there is a sitting room that could also be used as a second bedroom. In this room, the views start to peek over the neighbours roofs, opening out over the hills and out towards the coast. These windows are full sized and lead out to two Andalusian balconies.

Continuing up the stairs we reach the roof terrace that comes complete with a small kitchenette and removable pergola.  From here, one is immediately struck by the amazing view all the way down the valley, with the sea to the South, the mountains to the North and Lake Viñuela to the West.

This house has a space of around 15m2 per floor.  The whole house has underfloor heating, except for the shower room where the heating is in the walls.

The village

Canillas de Aceituno is an amazingly picturesque village, not too far up in the mountains and on the lower slopes of mount Maroma. It has many shops, bars, restaurants (including two very famous ones) a doctor’s clinic, sports facilities and a municipal pool.

Over the last few years the townhall has invested in making the village as clean and welcoming as possible, renovating ancient public buildings and laying ‘crazy paving’ and cobbles on the streets.

Everything in the village is walking distance.
