Location
This property is situated between Riogordo and Colmenar, along a dirt track of around 5 minutes, passable in most cars.  Both Riogordo and Colmenar are within a 5 to 10 minute drive from the property, and Malaga and the airport are with 35/40 minutes.

The House
This cortijo is in very good structural order, with solid stone walls and original rendering, and a modern roof.  The inside needs renovation to bring the house up to a good habitable standard, including the creation of a bathroom and a kitchen.  The house has mains water and mains electricity.

The Land
The land is divided into two parts: the area around the house, with a flat area on all four sides with lovely views, ideal to make into a pretty garden; and the lower area, or orchard.  This is accessed via what is at present a steep dirt track, which could be improved, down the steep hill to the orchard.  The orchard is totally flat and very large, with plenty of trees, including almonds, olives, citrus fruit trees, pomegranates and more.  There is ample space here, on this very fertile area, to grow vegetables and further fruit trees, keep chickens, goats, horses, etc, and the property has its own plentiful supply of natural water via a well.  A little stream runs along one side of the plot in the Winter and Spring, with a line of beautiful pink-flowered oleanders that are so typical of this area, especially in areas where there is plenty of natural water.

If the track down to the lower area could be impoved, this area might be ideal for anyone thinking of restoring the house for their own use, and setting up a handful of yurts, tents or caravans for paying ‘glamping’ guests in the orchard area.  There is a small, brick built work room in the orchard which could potentially be converted into bathrooms for the guests, too.
