The house is a 10 minute walk from Guaro, where there is an excellent bar/restaurant serving very good local cuisine.

Guaro is located within 40 minutes of the coast at Torre del Mar and within one hour of Malaga and the airport.

The house

With rustic style and charm throughout, the house is on one single level and is a haven of peace and simple, natural beauty, inside and out.

A driveway leads up, past the house next door, to the private drive and parking area, in the shade of several mature, leafy trees, with the pool area and wonderful views right in front.

The house has a lovely front terrace, with cane cover, giving beautiful dappled light and shade with plenty of space for outdoor dining, whilst enjoying the breathtaking mountain scenery.

There are two doors leading into the house, the first leading directly into the open plan kitchen, (4 x 3m) with sloping ceiling with beams.  This lovely, rustic style country kitchen has a breakfast bar separating it from the main living room, (5 x 4m)also with sloping ceiling and beams, and a fireplace with wood burner for the colder Winter months.  The second front door leads directly into the far end of the living room.

From the kitchen, a door through a partition wall leads into Bedroom 1, used by the current owners as a dining room (4 x 3m).  This wall could easily be removed to open up the kitchen to make a large kitchen/dining room area.

A door through a partition wall at the far end of the living room leads into Bedroom 2, with window to the front terrace.  Next door, a very short passage leads to Bedrooms 3 and 4, with the bathroom (2.5 x 2m) between the two.  All three bedrooms are approximately 3 x 3m.

Behind the house, to the rear, is a store room, with a temporary roof.  It would be easy to replace the roof with a transparent roof to bring in plenty of light to the rear of the house, and add a second bathroom which could be an ensuite to Bedroom 3, and still use the rest for storage, or as a rear patio area.

This character house has sloping ceilings, beams, rustic tiled floors, original, thick stone walls and rustic wooden windows with shutters.

The house is separated from the house next door by a gap of around 4 metres.  The neighbour is a local man, very friendly and very quiet and it would be simple to erect a small privacy fence at the far end of the front terrace should anyone wish.

The land

The land consists of two levels, the upper level where the house, terrace, pool garden and parking area are located, and the lower, accessed either by taking steps down, by the side of the pool, or by walking down the communal concrete entrance driveway, to the lower level.

The lower plot is an orchard with over 60 productive peach trees, and other fruit trees such as orange, lemon, pomegranates and ‘nisperos’.  There is a plentiful supply of natural spring mountain water from the ‘acequia’ or aqueduct channels to irrigate the land.

The land would be ideal for anyone wishing to grow vegetables, look after the fruit tree orchard and/or keep a few animals, and the soil is wonderfully fertile.

All about simplicity, this is a most beautiful house in a charming and peaceful country area.
