A little gem of a property on the very edge of the mountain village of Sedella, with a lovely garden and pool and plenty of potential for greater things!

This extremely unusual and rather beautiful house is located right by the village, with easy outside parking, and has an integral garage.  Built on two floors, with 100m2 on each floor, the upstairs is fully habitable and the downstairs is one big open space, ready to be converted into a second house (with its own access) or separate accommodation.

From the street, this property is easily accessed with parking right by the house.  There is an integral garage, which can continue to be used as a garage, or could be converted into part of the house.

The front door leads into the living room (5 x 3.5m) with a corner cast iron woodburner for the Winter and plenty of light.  Immediately to the left of the living room, divided by a partition wall, is the garage (5 x 3m) with a window to the side and a hatch giving access to the floor below, ideal for changing the oil on the car.

Beyond the living room is an inner hall, and the bathroom is located off the hall, to the left (2.25 x 1.5m) with bath and overhead shower.  Ahead is the fitted kitchen (3 x 2.5m) with a window overlooking the garden below.  It would be easily possible to make the window into a door and create a terrace, maybe even with steps down to the garden.

To the right of the hall is a short passage leading to the bedrooms.  Bedroom 1, 3 x 3m, bedroom 2, 3 x 3m with double aspect windows, and bedroom 3, 2.75 x 3.5m with extra overhead store area (over stairs).  All three bedrooms have quality built-in wardrobes.

Back in the living room, steps lead down to the lower floor, which is at garden level.  The whole of the downstairs is the same size as the upstairs (100m2) and can be finished off and divided up to suit individual requirements.  There is already a room plumbed in for a bathroom on this level, and a kitchen area, and all windows are in place.

From here, a rear door leads out onto the dining patio, which has a bread oven and built-in barbeque, access to the pool filter equipment and plenty of space for outside dining, with a pull-out awning.  To one side is a passageway leading up to an outside access to the street.  On the other side, a gate in the fence leads out to the ‘acequia’, which is part of a huge complex of irrigation waterways common across the Spanish countryside, especially in the mountains, bringing natural water from the mountains to the gardens and plots for irrigation purposes.  Casa Esperanza has access to this water and can use it at any time when the sluice is open.

From the dining terrace, a couple of steps lead up to the main garden.  This lovely area consists of a 4 x 2m in-ground moulded pool, sun bathing terrace and outside dining area.  It is very private, with plenty of trees along the boundaries of the garden.  Next door, on either side, are just kitchen gardens, very pretty, with the village and the Sierra beyond.  To the rear of this lovely garden, a couple of steps lead up to another outside terrace. This terrace would be ideal for a jacuzzi, or as a chill-out area, perhaps with a sail or awning to shade the area and outdoor furniture or sofas, to make a relaxing, luxurious little corner of this wonderful property.

This house has been well built, from an original village house, with thick walls and a strong structure, keeping it cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter.  The electrical installation and plumbing is modern and all in place for the lower floor.

The village of Sedella is extremely picturesque and has a great deal to offer, with bars and restaurants, and several shops.  It is surrounded by stunning, mountainous countryside and ideal for anyone who enjoys mountain walking and trecking.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a good size house with a garden and pool on the edge of a village.
