A very special country house, (detached) full of rustic charm, but comfortable and spacious, in a magical setting between Velez-Malaga (20 mins) and Los Romanes (7 minutes).

This house is ideal for anyone looking for a problem-free, beautiful and stylish country house in a true country setting (with plenty of magnificent walking trails with amazing mountain, lake and sea views within a few paces from the house).  The house sits in the rolling hills to the North West of Velez-Malaga and the coast, with nearest villages Triana (10 minutes), Benamargosa (12 minutes) and Los Romanes/Lake Viñuela (7 minutes).

The house has just enough land to keep one occupied, with plenty of fruit trees (including tropical mangos) on various levels running down the hill to a little stream in the valley.  The views are of the mountains and countryside, and the main terrace faces South/SouthWest, with beautiful sunsets to enjoy every evening with a glass of wine.

There are other country houses around, so it is not isolated, but the property is very private.

A very short dirt track (good all year round) leads to the house, with general parking area on the track and a private parking area with car port belonging to the property.  A gate leads to the East terrace, which leads to the main terrace and the lovely views.  The main terrace is covered by a cane covering, very rustic, very well kept and very beautiful.  The views catch the eye immediately and the inviting outdoor furniture fills the visitor with a desire to pour a drink, take a seat and relax!  Immediately below the terrace is a sunbathing terrace and the pretty round pool, surrounded by fencing covered in flowering creeping plants, adding to the joy of the view.  On the other side of the house, there is an additional terrace with a barbeque and outdoor kitchen.  On each of the three terraces is a door into the house.

The inside layout of the house is refreshingly different from the majority of country houses.  From the main terrace, double patio doors lead into the dining room area (3.8 x 3m), which is open plan to the kitchen (straight ahead) and the living room (to the right).  The living room is a spacious 11.5 x 4.2m with a pellet burner at one end and a traditional wood burner at the other with decorative stone chimney.  Left from the living room is the kitchen (such that one can walk in a circular route through all three of these rooms).  The fully fitted kitchen, (4.4 x 2.6m)  is at the centre of the house and has an atrium roof letting in plenty of light all year round, a very unusual feature.

Beyond the kitchen is a utility room, where all the unsightly kitchen items can be kept out of sight.  It is a good size (4 x 2m) and is fitted with quality units.

To the left and right of the kitchen is a short passage leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms.  To the left is the master bedroom.  This lovely room is around 4.6 x 4.7m including an ensuite shower room and built-in wardrobes.  To the right, a short passage leads to the family bathroom, and beyond, bedrooms 2 and 3, both good-sized double bedrooms.  The second bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom.

Outside, there are two sheds adjoining the house – one a workshop of around 3 x 2m, accessed from the main terrace, and the other is a small tool shed.  There is also a very useful store area underneath the house, accessed from the North terrace.

This is a perfectly delightful house in a peaceful country location, ideal for anyone seeking to experience true Spanish countryside,but within half an hour of the coast and easy access to several pretty Andalusian villages.
