2 bedrooms – 2 bathrooms – separate garage – beautiful features – stunning location – excellent land – sea and mountain views

A very private, extremely beautiful property offering peace and serenity in the hills to the South of Lake Viñuela, and within 20 minutes of Velez-Malaga and the coast.

Situated in the beautiful hills to the North of the village of Triana and South of Lake Viñuela and the village of Los Romanes, this delightful detached country cottage dates from 1900.  The land, consisting of a plot of 3634m2, is made up of gardens around the house on all four sides, and also pretty, gently sloping meadows which in Spring are a mass of wild flowers.  There is a good sized parking area as one enters the gated entrance, where the separate garage and store (around 24m2) is located.  The garage has the potential perhaps to be converted into a ‘casita’.  Next to the garage is a lovely, flat area planted with a variety of trees.  The views towards the sea are very beautiful.

Walking to the front of the house we come across the huge, ancient carob tree (hence Casa El Algarrobo) which offers welcome natural shade during the Summer, making it an ideal spot to locate a chair on Summer afternoons!  From here is access to the two front paved terraces.  The upper terrace is around 3 x 2m, with built-in seating ideal for contemplating the sea views.  The lower terrace, with pergola covering, is 8.5 x 2.5m and a lizard, made of ceramic tiles, can be found basking in the sun, set into the natural rock that can be found at various points around the house!

The upper terrace door leads into the kitchen (3.5 x 3m) which is a rustic style kitchen, with wide worktops and the end wall has exposed painted rock incorporated into it.  A door to the rear of the kitchen leads through the 1m thick wall into the utility room (3 x 2.5m).  This room could potentially be made into an additional bedroom.

To the left of the kitchen, a few steps lead down to the living room/dining room. This lovely room is 7 x 3m, with corner pellet stove fireplace and a glass door that leads out onto the lower front terrace.

From the living room, a wide opening through the very thick wall leads to the two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.  To the left, bedroom 1 is 3 x 3.2m with sliding glass doors to the rear pergola covered terrace, with en-suite shower room of 3.2 x 1.3m (large, walk-in double shower).  To the right, bedroom 2 is 3.3 x 2.5m, again with sliding glass doors to the rear terrace, and the shower room is 3.3 x 1.25m with walk-in double shower.

The rear terrace (7 x 3m) offers views towards the hills and mountains to the North and the rolling countryside to the West, where the sunsets are a wonder to behold!  From here is access to the main garden area, a flat area with many herbaceous borders planted with beautiful bushes, flowering plants and decorative grasses.  To the West side of the house is a built-in seating area to contemplate the beautiful West- facing view on this side, and the pretty gardens, with little steps that lead down the hill.

Historic, character country houses of the quality and serenity that this property offers, are rarely found on the market.  Highly recommended for anyone who is truly seeking out the Andalusian rustic experience.
