A delightful country house with ample gardens, large pool, completely private, in stunning, natural countryside on a completely flat plot of land, and only 10 minutes to the beautiful, historic town of Antequera.

The approach to this lovely country house is magnificent.  Only a short drive from the stunning, historic and vibrant town of Antequera, the drive is through beautiful countryside, wild, rocky and natural, with olive and almond groves growing alongside indigenous, protected oak and carob trees.

A turning off the country road takes us along a reasonable track (not steep and part concreted) of 2Kms to reach the gates of the house.  As we approach, one can only stare in awe at the great rocky mountain before us, where wild deer and eagles can often be seen.

The gates lead onto the completely flat olive grove plot that makes up this property, with the house located down a drive, past the olives, to a gravel car park.  Inner sliding gates here, lead into the gardens where the house itself is located.  With many flowering plants and decorative trees, the huge pool (77m2) is in a central location within the gardens with lawn and terracing around. The gardens are walled, and to the rear, past a fabulous and ancient carob tree with shaded area below, is a gate that leads out to the rest of the plot, which is fully fenced.

By the house, overlooking the garden, is a good sized covered terrace and barbecue area.

Steps lead up to a covered terrace that has been closed in to form a sun room, to the front.  From here it is possible to enjoy the wonderful views over the garden, olive orchards, and the forest of indigenous trees that lead the eye to the stunning Sierra de Chimenea mountain range!  The sun room is 9 x 2.5m and is used all year round as a dining and sitting room.

From the sun room, the front door leads into the living room, (4.5 x 4m)with central woodburner fireplace and sliding glass doors leading back out to the sun room.  To the right of the living room is a good sized kitchen (4 x 3m) which is fully fitted, and has an additional utility space at the far end, of around 2 x 1.5m where we find the washing machine and storage units.

Back in the living room, to the far end is a short passage (3 x 1m).  At the far end is a second woodburner, which cleverly heats the two bedrooms either side, and the family bathroom. The corridor also has built-in storage units. There are two bathrooms of a good size, the first decorated in green and white (3 x 2m) with bath and overhead shower, and the second bathroom in blue and white (around 2.5 x 2.5m) also with bath and overhead shower.  To the far left is bedroom 1 (4 x 3m) with double sliding doors to a balcony.  And to the right is bedroom 2 (4 x 4m) also with sliding doors to a balcony, and built-in wardrobes.

As many people like to have a third bedroom, it is important to point out that the current owners have thought of sectioning off part of the large sun room to create a guest bedroom, and this would be easily achievable, even just with a large curtain, and maybe a sofa bed at the far end.

Under the house is a storage area the same size as the house, with low ceiling, ideal for storage and contains the washing machine, drier, a freezer and water tank.  The fact that the house is raised keeps it warm and dry all year round.

This house is sold fully furnished and has mains electricity and a plentiful supply of its own well water.  A beautiful house in a highly desirable location.
