A delightful, well presented 2 bedroom end of terrace cottage in a beautiful country location just above El Trapiche (Vélez-Málaga) within a 5 or 6 minute drive from the town and 10 minutes to the beach!

This lovely cottage is set on its own gated and fully fenced plot of around 1220 square metres, and the cottage is around 85 square metres.  The garden is a paradise of tropical fruit trees, mainly mangos and avocados, and many citrus trees such as oranges and lemons, plus a pear tree and many others!  The location, soil and climate make this a place where anything grows and the incredibly plentiful and very cheap irrigation water makes it easy to keep the plants healthy and happy all the time!  So this is an ideal place for anyone wishing to experiment with fruit trees, and also anyone wishing to create a beautiful garden full of exotic flowers and plants – and maybe keep a few chickens too!

The property is located along a short dirt track from the road, leading up to a little row of pretty country  cottages, of which this one is at the very end.  The next door property is only used by the local neighbour to keep his tools in and so there is little or no noise.  The double gates lead into a large parking area and the plot is fully fenced.

The cottage has a lovely, cane-roof dining terrace to the front, facing South.  From here the front door leads into a delightful kitchen/dining room in open plan style, a room to spend a lot of time and living in!  This room is a generous 6 x 3.5m.  To the far right is an opening through to the living room (also 6 x 3.5m), with air conditioning, a wood burner in the far corner and a door leading out to the pool terrace, and window to the front.

To the other side of the kitchen, an opening leads to a short corridor, accessing the bedrooms and bathrooms.  To the left is bedroom 1, (4 x 3m) and this lovely room has a door leading to the rear covered terrace and access to a shower room with shower and wash basin, beautifully tiled.  To the right is bedroom 2, (3 x 3m) also with a door leading out to the rear covered terrace.  In between the two bedrooms is a bathroom with bath and wash basin, and the WC has been sectioned off, with its own door from the corridor too.

To the rear is a lovely covered terrace of around 7 x 2m and overlooks the pool terrace.  The pool is what could be called a large splash pool (around 4 x 2.5m) but is a lovely size to look after, not too difficult to maintain and the perfect size for this property!  All around are magnificent views over the mango-covered hills and the many, many trees, giving the whole view and area a lush, tropical feel.

The land is on two flat levels.  The upper level, with a variety of fruit trees planted, has little paths set between the trees and a large open barbecue area with built-in barbecue.  At the far end, is an outbuilding divided into a store room/workshop, and a separate bathroom which requires a small amount of attention to bring up to full working order (tiling, repainting etc).  The lower level is accessed via a set of steps at the far end, and a set of steps just below the pool terrace and is planted with many mature avocado, mango and orange trees.  There are also plenty of grapevines growing on the slope between the two levels.

This gorgeous property is ideal for anyone wishing to experience the true Spanish countryside, with the track leading up into the hills with nature all around, and yet to be just a few minutes away from the large, historic town of Velez-Malaga, and the seaside.  A beautiful property offering plenty of value for money, at an affordable price!
