Description

4 bedrooms – 2 bathrooms – gardens with pool terrace – beautiful mountain views – easy access – country location near Arroyo Coche and Casabermeja

A beautifully renovated detached country house with land, terraces with lovely views, and a pool and pool deck.

Located just 5 or 6 minutes’ drive from the country town of Casabermeja and entrance to the A45 motorway, this lovely renovated country house near Casabermeja is situated on the side of a quiet country lane, (no dirt track) in a rural area, with one or two other rural country houses and farms, owned mainly by local farmers, dotted around.

From the road, there are two sets of gates, at each end of the property.  The first leads into a private printed concrete drive ideal for parking a couple of cars.  The second leads down a printed concrete drive to a garage.

From the first drive, a door leads into the closed-in porch or hallway (3.5 x 1.5m).  To the left is a door into a laundry and store room (6.3m2) and ahead, a door leads into the kitchen.  The kitchen is fully fitted with quality wood units and appliances (2.5 x 3m) and is open plan via a wide brick-decorated archway to the breakfast room (3.7 x 3.6m).  This delightful room has large, glass double doors that lead out to the outdoor dining terrace, such that the kitchen, breakfast room and outdoor rear dining terrace feel all one space.  In the centre is a breakfast ‘island’ with worktop and units below.

From the breakfast room is a door leading into a spacious living room (3.8 x 5m) with a corner wood burner, double wooden windows to the front and a central ceiling fan.  A door to the far end leads into the dining room (3.5 x 4m)  with a window over the rear dining terrace which in turn leads back to the breakfast room.

One step down from the dining room is a corridor, for access to the bedrooms and bathrooms.  To the left is the single bedroom, currently used as an office (1.7 x 3.5m).  Next to it is bedroom 2 (2.5 x 3.5m) and both have windows to the rear terrace. To the right is the third bedroom (3 x 3.8m) and next to it the family bathroom (3.8 x 1.6m) with a corner bath and overhead shower.  And at the end of the corridor is the master bedroom, a spacious 5.6 x 3.5m with a door to the rear terrace, window over the land, and double patio doors leading out to a private terrace with beautiful views.  This room also has a dressing room (3.8 x 1.6m) with built-in wardrobes, and an en-suite shower room of the same size with double ‘his and hers’ wash basins set in an ornate cabinet and slate tiled large walk-in shower. The bathrooms and dressing room have electric under floor heating.

Outside, the rear dining terrace has lovely views over the land and the valley, and up the hill to an interesting, ancient rock formation.  To the left is a barbecue area and outside kitchen and beyond a gate leading out to the front parking area and access via a side gate to the land.  To the right of the terrace, a gate leads through to some steps, taking us down to the wooden decked pool area, fully fenced for total privacy.  The pool is a pre-fabricated pool that has been cleverly inserted into the raised floor to bring it to ground level for swimmers (5 x 3m pool).

Also from the terrace is a spiral staircase that leads up to a lovely roof terrace with panoramic views.

Steps to the side lead down to the second driveway and the garage (5 x 4m and 1.83m high) and underbuild (6 x 3m plus second equally large area) which is ideal for storage and is also currently used as a gym!  A further underbuild room holds the 2000L water storage tank and the property has two grey-water/rain water tanks for irrigation.

To the front of the property is a part covered, part open terrace dividing the house from the road.

The small hamlet of Arroyo Coche is close by with one shop (bakery that also sells general goods) and there are many vans that park close to the house on a daily or weekly basis bringing fresh bread, fish, meat, vegetables, etc.  Casabermeja (5-6 minutes) has many facilities and amenities.

The land is mainly sloping but there is plenty of space for planting and growing vegetables and fruit trees. There is an enclosed fenced area, ideal for keeping dogs.  The plot currently has almond and olive trees, plus decorative trees including false pepper, mimosa and silky oaks.  There are also grapevines and many flowering plants.

This is ideal walking country and is perfect for anyone who wishes to truly integrate into the Spanish rural way of life.

Top features of this property:
– 170m2 house on one level (not including basement or garage), on 6000m2 plot
– Ceiling fans and Air Conditioning, plus wall mounted heat panels
– Under floor heating (electric) in bathrooms and dressing room
– Mains water and electricity
– Only a few minutes from Casabermeja and under 30 minutes from Malaga and the coast
