Description

Beautiful rural complex near the beach.  Main house 2-4 bed, 2 bath –  2 guest houses with 1 bed, 1 bath, each – oasis style gardens – pool – garage – wonderful sea views

A unique style country house with a guest cottage and a guest studio, set in beautiful, tropical gardens, no track, wonderful sea views, and only a few minutes’ drive from the beach

This established business consists of an enclosed tourist complex with 325m2 of buildings, in a beautiful location, close to Cajiz and Iznate villages and under 10 minutes from the coast.

Off street parking by the walled entrance allows access straight from the road, and double gates lead into a private off-street parking area too.  There are also two independent garden gates in the wall for pedestrian access.

Upon stepping through the gate we enter a lush, tropical paradise!  There are flower-decked terraces and hidden patios, paths and steps, all around the pool and sun terrace in the centre and with many beautiful trees, bushes and vegetation creating harmony, beauty and plenty of natural shade.

Once inside, the property consists of the main house, with gardens above, the central pool and barbecue area, a separate walled access below to the main guest cottage with its own gardens and terrace, and a further separate access to the second guest cottage or studio to the rear of the pool area.

The main house:

To the front of the main house (South facing) and accessed from the entrance and central pool terrace up a few steps, is a delightful covered terrace that has been glassed in to create a wonderful, spacious conservatory or garden room, ideal for the Winter months.  This lovely room (13 x 3.5m) has glass windows that can be removed in the warmer Summer months.  It would be an ideal room to fill with tropical palms and plants.

From here, double glass patio doors lead into the dining room, and a second set lead into the living room next door.  The dining room (3 x 3m plus rear area of 3 x 3m including a store cupboard) has high ceilings, and access to the kitchen, to the left, via an archway.  The fully fitted kitchen is 4 x 3m with units and appliances in excellent condition, still with the charm of the old original house, and with a window to the South.

To the left of the dining room, a lockable door leads into a suite of rooms known as the West Wing, which are intended to be accessed from the West terrace, to be independent, (a potential third letting unit) but can be accessed also from inside the house.  First is the bathroom, with small, low level bath, wash basin and WC, beautifully and simply tiled, a lovely, spacious room, 3 x 2m.  From here a door leads into a living room (3.5 x 3m) with double glass doors out to the West terrace (5 x 4m or larger) with lovely views and access to the gardens, the second guest cottage and the pool.  From the living room a door to the left leads into another beautiful room, Bedroom 1 (3 x 3.25m) with views to the South, the pool and the sea.  A little kitchenette might be added to the living room area to make this whole suite a third unit to offer for tourism, accessed from the West terrace.

Returning to the dining room, to the right, as one enters from the conservatory, is the living room.  This delightful room is a spacious 5.75 x 6.5m, with 1m thick walls, heated tiled wall seats set in alcoves and a vast archway dividing the room into two sections, plus a corner woodburner for the Winter.  To the rear of this lovely room is a door leading to a wide marble staircase, (with under floor heating under the steps).  The stairs lead straight into the main bedroom suite, Bedroom 2. Bedroom 2 is 6 x 3.5m with beautiful tiles and exquisite tile inset detail.  A wide sweep of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open out fully, onto a South facing terrace of 6 x 3.5m with views to the sea and the pool below. This wonderful terrace has a large awning covering the entire area, to protect the terrace from the sun when required.  At the far end of the terrace is a door into another room, officially a third bedroom, but used currently as a study, reading room and office, with lovely views to the coast/South (3.5 x 3m).  To the left of the bedroom is the dressing room (5.5 x 3m on two levels, for storage).  Next to this is the exquisite, luxurious en-suite bathroom in an L shape, with a bath, separate double shower unit, bidet and WC (5 x 2, plus 5 x 2m). There is access to two loft areas from this upstairs level with huge storage areas.

It is possible to make basic changes to both upstairs and downstairs to create more bedrooms.

Guest cottage 1 and Garage:
Below the pool area, by the second gate out to the road, is a door to the garage (5 x 4m) – an ideal space both to lock away a vehicle, and to store all manner of items!

Next to this a gate leads into a completely private patio garden, of at least 50m2, equipped with awnings to protect from the sun when required.  From here, a door leads into the first Guest cottage, straight into the dining room (3 x 2.1m).  To the right is the bathroom, (2.5 x 2m) with a large walk-in shower and double wash basins, decorated with traditional Andalusian tiles.  To the left of the dining room we walk into the living room (3.2 x 3m) and beyond, into the bedroom (4 x 3m), currently furnished with two large beds.  There are views down the valley towards the sea and also to the patio garden.  Next to the door into this apartment is a door into the separately accessed guest cottage kitchen, fully fitted and equipped.  And next to this is a most magnificent covered dining terrace with sweeping views down the valley to the gistening waters of the Mediterranean!

Guest cottage 2 – The Studio:
Located through a gate in the wall to the rear of the pool area, and down some steps, lined with flowering shrubs, we find the second guest cottage or studio.  The door leads straight into a fitted kitchen and dining area (1.5 x 4m).  To the left, one step up leads into the living/bedroom (4 x 3.5m) with a rear patio door leading to the private terrace beyond (5 x 3m).  To the right of the kitchen is a door leading to a store room (3 x 1.5m, plus an arch to the shower room of 3 x 1.5m).  There is also a store room accessed from the kitchen where the pool pump and water boiler are currently located. Beyond the guest cottage terrace, which is very private, a little path leads past a plantation of aleo vera plants and many flowering shrubs and bushes, and up some steps to the West terrace of the main house.

The pool area:
Located centrally and accessed by all units and sections of the complex via pretty paths or steps, this is a perfect area for communal gatherings, yoga sessions, relaxing, sunbathing, barbecuing and swimming, etc.  The area consists of a pool (7 x 4m), a covered poolside area of 4 x 2.5m with seating, and a very large open, tiled sun terrace with sun loungers, sun shades and a barbecue area.

The gardens:
Above the main house is a little path that takes the visitor up through pretty rockeries to a lovely terrace area with a huge, two-hundred year old carrob tree creating plenty of natural shade.  Sitting here, at the little table, in the dappled sunlight, with only the sound of the breeze in the tree overhead, the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean sea glint through the foliage making this a very peaceful place, a place to contemplate and unwind!  Just below is a further tiled terrace with gazebo and further outdoor sitting area.

Elsewhere, there is further scope for gardens, in the form of a large area currently divided into different dog, animal and bird cages.  This could be redeveloped for whatever use might be required, from a vegetable patch or fruit tree orchard, to a games area, or further terracing.

An ideal property for anyone wishing to run a small business, whilst living on the complex too.
