This lovely cottage is located on the Southern slopes of the mountain village of Comares, with wonderful, peaceful, and very inspiring views over the countryside, hills, mountains and out to the glistening Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

Situated around 5 minutes’ drive from the village along a tarmac and concrete country lane, there is a small area used as a communal car park for the one or two neighbours nearby.  From the car park, there is a short walk along a grassy path, through beautiful countryside and a natural spring, leading to the double wooden doors of the walled courtyard patio.

The courtyard is 7 x 4m and is an ideal place to dine outside or relax and sunbathe in complete privacy. It has pretty rustic stone walls and plenty of reminders of times gone by.

From the courtyard, a door leads into the living room (3 x 3m).  To one side, a thick walled archway and one step down leads into bedroom 1.  This room (3 x 2.5m) has interesting original features, such as part of the now defunct original chimney (this was no doubt originally the kitchen).  To one side of this room, wooden slat steps lead up to a wooden mezanine ceiling, ideal for storing suitcases, linen, etc.

To the other side of the living room is one step up into the kitchen.  This room, 4 x 3m, is fully fitted and has an interesting rock feature to one side and a cast iron woodburner, to make the house cosy and warm in the Winter.

Beyond, a door and one step up leads into the bathroom (3 x 2m) with a walk-in shower and washing machine.

Steps from the living room lead up to a small landing with a wooden floor (3 x 2m).  This leads into bedroom 2 (4 x 3m), which overlooks the courtyard patio.  Steps lead up from here to the wonderful roof terrace.  This terrace covers an area of 6.5x4m and 4.5 x 3.25m, with a step up between the areas.  The views are quite delightful!  There is a fold-away splash pool ideal for this terrace.

A lovely little house, at an affordable price, which can only be described as a secret hideaway just waiting to be enjoyed!
