Beautiful old cortijo to restore – between 120 and 150m2 – 5,000m2 plot

This lovely old country house requires total renovation and is on a plot of around 5,000m2 in a country area between Triana village and Lake Viñuela.

The house is located in the centre of the plot, with a large, flat area for gardens and ample parking space from the entrance track.  There is a pretty covered terrace to the front of the house (around 6 x 3m) and from here the front door leads into the living room (6 x 3.25m).  To the right of the living room, a door leads into the kitchen (down one step, 3.5 x 2.5m) with original floor tiles and Andalusian painted round ceramic sink.  To the left of the living room is a bedroom with window to the front (4 x 3m).

Two rooms lead from doorways from the living room to the rear area of the house.  The rear right hand doorway leads to a second bedroom (4  x 3m) with window onto the rear walled patio, and the left hand doorway leads to another room, the ‘back’ room (6 x 3m).  To the far end of this room is a small doorway which leads into another section of the house, most probably used for the animals.  This area, divided into two rooms, is around 3 x 4m plus second section down a couple of steps, of 4 x 2m, currently with low sloping roof.

The ‘back’ room also leads out into the walled rear patio, with rough stone floor.  The patio courtyard has a bread oven at one end and store area of 2 x 1.5m, a door to the bathroom of 2 x 2.5m plus a store room of 4 x 2m.  The rear patio courtyard is around 7.5 x 4.25m, plus a covered area of 4.25 x 2m.  There is also a door from the courtyard out to the garden/plot.  The house has its original beams, thick walls and other original features such  as the bread oven.

The plot itself, while uncultivated at the moment, is a pretty one and all the land is accessible and useable, offering views of the mountains and hills around and other nearby country houses.  There are two wells on the plot, making it very easy to cultivate the land entirely with fruit trees of all types.  There are also already a number of orange and lemon trees, and a vineyard on part of the plot.
